This series of paintings result from sketches and outdoor studies made during the lockdowns of 2020. The limited palette echoes the social, physical and financial limitations of the time.
I have found that working in this limited colour palette enables me to focus on the tonal values of a landscape & helps me to abstract the landscape, and it is something that I continue to practise in my current work.
