ABOUT

With a BA(Hons) in 3D Design and after extensive experience as an Interior and Garden Designer, Deb dedicated twelve years to an international charity. Her relocation to Cornwall in 2017 marked a pivotal return to her artistic roots, as the region’s breathtaking coastal vistas and untamed moorlands reignited her passion for painting.

Deb's artistic practice is deeply rooted in the plein air tradition, allowing her to engage directly with landscapes that have stood the test of time yet exhibit a dynamic quality through the ever-shifting interplay of light, weather, and seasons.

On days when the Cornish climate is less conducive to outdoor painting, Deb's studio serves as a sanctuary for creativity. Nestled near the moors, it lies between Penzance and St Ives, a location as inspiring as the outdoors.

Deb's work seeks to distil the quintessential spirit of West Cornwall’s landscapes and seascapes. Employing a blend of oil and cold wax, alongside acrylic and mixed media, she works on canvas, paper, and board to translate the region’s unique ambiance into tangible art forms.

Deb's paintings have been purchased for collections throughout the UK, and in Europe, USA and Canada.

Deb is also an avid photographer, and has successfully gained the LRPS, the first level distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

She enjoys photographing subjects across a wide variety of genres, and is always eager to explore new possibilities, and try to continuously push the boundaries of her photography and actively seek out opportunities to learn new skills.

She has recently been exploring the possibilities of Photoshop in creating digital art.
